What we do – Two Little Birds

Gabrielle and Claire are experienced senior organisational development specialists with experience in leading enterprise wide capability initiatives in the public and private sectors. This combined experience includes senior organisational development, learning and development roles and leadership roles with a focus on team, talent and leadership development.

We established our consultancy to focus on these three key areas, as we believe in significant difference they can make to an organisation and the achievement of its strategic objectives. Our expertise is in designing and implementing organisational development solutions that are practical and add value to the business.

What do we do?

Here are some of the ways we’ve helped our clients:

A diversity and inclusion strategy and implementation plan for a Crown Owned Entity,
Performance framework reviews (four of them in the last 18 months!) at quite different organisations – one being an NGO of 35 staff, another at a government agency of around 200 staff, and the last at a government agency of 1,200 staff who needed a performance framework for their manager and specialist population, and the last one a small private organisation,
The development of an HR strategy and an approach to retaining and developing key talent at a small government agency,
Engagement, onboarding and exit surveys, using the Culture Amp tool for a small private organisation,
Project managing and contributing towards the development and implementation of a large culture change programme,
Project / Event managing large events for clients of up to 15o attendees,
Developing capability pathways for two teams within two large government agencies, and the development of learning material for one of the teams, and
Team profiling and individual coaching, using the Team Management profiling tool across a number of private organisations.

We are also Associates to ON-Brand Partners in Auckland and HR Plus in Wellington. We love to jump in and support the teams as and when they need us.

Why Two Little Birds?

We started Two Little Birds Consulting because we could see that often organisations had a requirement for support with their people development needs on a project by project basis with discrete pieces of work that the business as usual team does not have capacity to manage. This is where we come in.

We provide advice and support from conceptual, strategic thinking right through to tactical delivery. We have a practical approach to developing people and are advocates for solutions that are relevant to the end-user in the business.

We are experienced working with senior business leaders in a variety of settings – from large and complex organisations, public sector to private sector, and through to small business enterprises. Collectively, we have over 30 years experience in the people capability field.

So why is our name Two Little Birds Consulting? We think birds represent opportunity, possibility and loyalty. Plus, they see things from up high, then dive down low into the detail. That’s us!
